AN APC LOYALIST AND CAMPAIGN STRATEGIST

THE MAN. Arc. Pam Dung  Gyang:

A Proven Architect of Leadership, Service, and Integrity
for Plateau APC
The people of Plateau State are no strangers to leadership trials, and at this
critical juncture in the political journey of our dear state, the need for a leader
with proven competence, integrity, and fairness has never been more urgent.
Arc. Pam D. Gyang, a seasoned politician, professional architect, and
community builder stands out as a man whose antecedents speak louder
than promises.
From his early years, Arc. Pam D. Gyang distinguished himself as a scholar
and professional, earning his place as a registered architect and contributing
to the physical and structural development of Plateau State. His work in
architecture has not only shaped skylines but also demonstrated his ability
to plan, design, and execute projects with precision, a skill set that translates
directly into political leadership, where vision, strategy, and execution are key.

A technocrat of national repute
Arc. Pam D. Gyang’s professional journey saw him rise to become a
Comptroller of Works in many states across the federation, where he
supervised and delivered critical infrastructure projects that stood as
benchmarks of quality and durability. His reputation for excellence earned
him the position of Chairman, Prototype Housing in the Federal Capital
Territory, Abuja, where he championed innovative housing solutions and
helped shape the city’s modern development blueprint. His tenure was
marked by transparency, efficiency, and a commitment to delivering projects
that served the people.
A man of honors and awards
Throughout his service years, Arc. Gyang received numerous awards of
recognition for his outstanding contributions to architecture, infrastructure,
and public service. These honors were not just symbols of personal
achievement but reflections of his dedication to excellence and his passion

for building communities. His ability to combine technical expertise with
visionary leadership made him a standout figure in every role he held.
From service to politics and community development
After years of distinguished service, Arc. Pam D. Gyang made the bold
decision to resign from active service and venture into politics and
community service, driven by his desire to use his wealth of experience for
broader societal impact. This transition marked the beginning of his deep
involvement in grassroots development, advocacy, and political leadership,
where he has continued to champion fairness, equity, and people centered
governance.
Beyond his professional achievements, Arc. Gyang has been a consistent
figure in Plateau politics, earning respect across party lines for his fairness,
humility, and people first approach. He has served in various capacities
where he managed resources, built consensus, and delivered results without
bias. His track record reflects a man who does not see leadership as a
privilege for self enrichment but as a call to service, justice, and equity.
What makes Arc. Pam D. Gyang's different is his unblemished integrity.

In a political climate often clouded by mistrust, he has remained a beacon of
reliability, someone whose word can be taken to the bank. His ability to listen,
mediate, and carry everyone along has made him a natural unifier — a
quality Plateau APC desperately needs to remain strong, cohesive, and
victorious.
A product of zoning and fairness
In line with the party’s philosophy of zoning and rotational leadership, Arc.
Pam D. Gyang hails from a region whose stake in Plateau politics must be
preserved to maintain balance and fairness. His emergence would not only
respect the principle of inclusion but also reinforce the APC’s commitment to
equity, ensuring that every zone feels represented and valued in the power
structure of the state.
A tested governorship contender under Action Congress (AC)
Arc. Pam D. Gyang’s political journey is marked by resilience and popular
acceptance. In 2007, he contested for the governorship of Plateau State,
under the Action Congress (AC) — the very party that later evolved into
today’s All Progressives Congress (APC) and produced President Asiwaju
Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His governorship bid was widely believed to have been
successful, but he was denied victory under controversial circumstances
during the Olusegun Obasanjo era. That moment, though painful, revealed
his deep acceptance among Plateau citizens and his capacity to inspire hope
across ethnic and religious lines. It remains a testament to his popularity and
the trust people place in his leadership.
A loyal party man and campaign strategist
His loyalty to the progressive political family and its ideals has never been in
doubt. In 2019, Arc. Pam D. Gyang served as the Director General of the
Buhari/Lalong campaign organization, where he played a pivotal role in
securing victory for both the president and the governor. It was under his
stewardship that the famous declaration of “no vacancy in Plateau and Aso
Rock” was made — a statement that reflected his confidence, political
sagacity, and commitment to APC’s success. His ability to mobilize,
organize, and deliver at that critical time remains one of the strongest
evidence of his leadership capacity.
In recognition of his continued relevance and loyalty, Arc. Pam D. Gyang
was appointed as one of the patrons and a member of the Tinubu/Shettima
Presidential Campaign Organisation for the 2023 general elections. This
appointment placed him at the heart of national politics, contributing to the
strategy and mobilization that produced Nigeria’s current president. It further
cemented his reputation as a trusted and dependable leader within the APC
at both state and national levels.
A man of the people: projects outside government
What sets Arc. Pam D. Gyang apart is not only what he has done in office
but also what he has chosen to do quietly, without fanfare, for his people.
Out of his personal commitment to community development, he has initiated
and completed several laudable projects, including:
Four (4) units of motorized boreholes, providing clean and reliable water to
communities that had long struggled with scarcity.

Four (4) units of six classroom blocks, creating conducive learning
environments for children and expanding access to quality education.
Four (4) units of 300kVA electric transformers, boosting power supply and
energizing local economies in underserved areas.

One kilometer of asphalted road, easing transportation, improving trade,
and enhancing safety for residents.
These projects, carried out without seeking publicity, reflect his genuine love
for service and his belief that leadership is about impact, not noise. They
stand as silent but powerful testimonies of his commitment to uplifting
Plateau communities, even outside the corridors of government.
The APC in Plateau: philosophy, challenges, and the need for Arc. Pam D.
Gyang’s leadership
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State is built on a
philosophy of progressive governance, inclusivity, and people centered
development. It seeks to unite citizens across ethnic, religious, and regional
lines under a common vision of fairness, justice, and prosperity. However,
like any dynamic political organization, the party faces its share of challenges
— internal disagreements, zoning tensions, and the ever-present risk of
factionalization.
This is where Arc. Pam D. Gyang’s capacity, character, and leadership style
become crucial. Known for his ability to mediate disputes, build consensus,
and inspire trust.

He has consistently demonstrated that he can turn potential
crises into opportunities for stronger unity. His experience as a technocrat,
his political maturity, and his grassroots connection makes him uniquely
placed to:
Reconcile factions and ensure that every zone and interest group feels
carried along.
Uphold the zoning principle in a way that maintains fairness and prevents
alienation.
Mobilize party members for collective success, drawing on his proven track
record as DG of the 2019 Buhari/Lalong campaign and his role in the 2023
Tinubu/Shettima campaign.
Restore confidence in the party’s ability to deliver on its promises to Plateau
citizens in times of potential crisis, Arc. Pam D. Gyang’s calm demeanor, problem
solving mindset and reputation for fairness will serve as a stabilizing force,
ensuring that the APC in Plateau remains united, focused, and victorious.
Political mileage and versatility: prerequisites for effective performance
Over the years, Arc. Pam D. Gyang has built political mileage and versatility
that cut across professional, political, and community lines. From his days
as a technocrat to his emergence as a political leader, he has consistently
shown adaptability, resilience, and a deep understanding of governance
dynamics. This wealth of experience has equipped him with the basic
prerequisites to perform effectively — strategic thinking, people
management, crisis resolution, and result oriented service. His track record
proves that he is not just a career politician but a leader who blends
competence with compassion, making him a rare asset for Plateau APC.
A call to serve– from the party faithful
Among a section of APC faithful, there is a growing consensus that at a time
like this, Arc. Pam D. Gyang is one of the few statesmen who can be called
upon to handle such a task to lead the party. His name has become a central
point of debate, not just within party circles but also among political observers
and citizens across and outside Plateau. Many argue that his experience,
integrity, and unifying character make him the most prepared individual to
steer the party away from crisis and toward sustained victory.
