Plateau APC in Jubilant mood as Governor Mutfwang set to be formally received in a Grand Reception.

It was a time for realignment and unity on the Plateau when Chairman of the Central Planning Committee for the grand reception of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang into the All Progressives Congress (APC) Rt. Honorable Idris Ahmed Wase member representing Wase Federal Constituency and former Deputy Speaker House of Representatives described the Plateau State governor as an asset to the "Renewed Hope" agenda of President Bola Tinubu(GCFR)
He stated this on the sidelines of the Central Working Committee media parley and World Press Conference on Monday 26 January 2026 at the NUJ Press Center in Jos, Nigeria.
Sir Joseph ArI, Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee and the immediate Past Director General of The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) noted that the media was crucial in the Plateau story and urged synergy at all times
Earlier Ayuku Pwaspo State NUJ Chairperson urged all media professionals on the Plateau to ensure ethical standards and report balanced stories.
Cutting across political division the reception is seen as a new chapter in the history of Plateau State, as Governor Mutfwang’s decision to join the APC is expected to foster a people-centred political culture, promote peace, inclusiveness, cooperation, and development. The event is expected to attract a massive turnout of party faithful, political leaders, youth groups, women associations, and supporters from across the state and beyond.
The highpoint of the event the presence of H.E the Vice President, Kassim Shetima, who is expected to formally receive Governor Mutfwang into the APC. Other dignitaries expected to attend include the National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, the Chairman of the Progressive governors forum H.E Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo
and other stalwarts of the ruling party.
