🇹🇿 TANZANIA ELECTION RESULTS: Samia Runs, Samia Wins, Samia Rules! as Opposition was invited to watch from home.


The National Electoral Commission has spoken — again. Tanzania’s very own Iron Lady with a Smile, President Samia Suluhu Hassan, has officially secured a jaw-dropping 85.4% of the vote. That’s not just a landslide — that’s a political tsunami.

Let’s be honest: calling it an election might be generous. It was more like a victory parade with ballot boxes for decoration. Opposition parties tried to show up, but by the time they finished printing posters, Samia had already given her victory speech.

This win marks her first fully elected term (2025–2030) — though some say she’s been in charge so long that even the presidential palace furniture now salutes her in the morning.

As Tanzania’s first female president, she’s made history — again — proving that when women lead, men follow… mostly because they’ve all been “politically unavailable” lately.

Critics whisper about the “strength of opposition politics” in Tanzania, but it’s hard to measure strength when the competition is invisible. One local joked, “Our opposition is like a Wi-Fi signal — it exists, but you can’t always connect.”

Still, her next five years could bring continuity, economic reform, and another 85.4% victory in 2030. As for women’s representation in African leadership — let’s just say Samia isn’t just breaking the glass ceiling; she’s using the shards to make a new crown. 👑
