BOK LEADS OTHER EXCO'S OF PLATEAU PUBLISHERS ASSOCIATION PPA IN FRESH ELECTIONS OF THE ASSOCIATION
Having fulfilled all requirements for the conduct of elections following the expiration of tenure of the Prince Daniel John Bok led interim Exco , PPA has today 3rd August 2025, conducted its elections to fill in vacant positions.
The elections which took place today at PPA's temporary office, NO 4, NICON building, Jos, had the Association's ELCOM Chairman, Chief Hosea Nash Vongdip, who doubles as the Deputy Chairman, Board of Trustees, PPA stating that after exhausting all avenues to have the BoT chairman (Chief Amos Gizo's presence to oversee some activities of the group but for exigencies of his national assignment as Chairman Lower Benue River Development Authority, he as the Deputy BoT chairman had to step in and conduct the elections considering the tenure elapsed today.
During the elections conducted by ELCOM Chairman Chief Hosea Nash Vongdip the following officials were elected.
1. Prince Daniel John Bok- Chairman
2. Danjuma Bali- Deputy Chairman
3. Godfrey Sunwar- Secretary
4. Phillip Zhattau- Welfare Secretary
5. Solomon Gokas- Auditor
6. Roslyn Dimka- Financial Secretary
7. Helen Bok- Treasurer
8. Onjefu Odaudu- Public Relations Officer
The newly elected officials were subsequently sworn in by Barrister Benjamin Dazi where they all pledged to uphold the tenets of the association and practice of professional journalism.
In his acceptance remarks the newly elected Chairman Prince Daniel John Bok appreciated the ELCOM for doing a thorough job within the time frame given them, as their tenure for the exercise expired today.
He promised to work with anyone interested in joining the association to chart a new course alongside the new team.
He also appreciated the entire Congress for electing him into office and promised to approach the task ahead with all seriousness and dedication.
The Plateau Publishers Association PPA, though going through processes of uniting all members, a trying moment as a result of a break out by some members, assured that the doors of reconciliation and progress in the association is still open and not closed, he pledged to work with all stakeholders to move the body forward.
Meanwhile, the Chairman also expressed absolute support for the Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang- led administration and offered to continue playing crucial roles required as members of the fourth Estate of the realm, on behalf of the PPA, The Prince Daniel John Bok led EXCO also passed a vote of confidence on all elected and appointed government appointees in the state, urging them to write their names in gold by helping the Governor achieve his vision for the prosperity, peace and development of the entire state.
