THE GREATEST OPPOSITION PARTY IN NIGERIA TODAY IS PRESIDENT TINUBU AND HIS FAMILY SAYS FORMER MINISTER DALUNG

A former Minister of Youth and Sports Development  Barrister Selcap Solomon Dealing  has asserted that the end of the All Progressives Congress (APC) era in Nigeria is imminent, according to him. Nigerians are fed up with the current administration's handling of insecurity, hunger, and economic hardship while living large in the midst of hopelessness which they have tagged "Renewed Hope" which benefits only them and their cronies.

 Dalung who spoke to journalists  immediately after the Senate Public hearing for the review of the 1999 Constitution at the Crispan Hotel and Suites Jos, Nigeria on Saturday July 5 2025  strongly advocated for the establishment of state and community police to combat insecurity in the region, highlighting the need for a more effective security framework.

Dalung noted that the opposition is no longer just about political parties, but about the Nigerian people who are suffering under the current administration. "The opposition now are the people of Nigeria, whom the president has declared war against them," he said. 

"This is  not just a political party issue, it's not a party that's suffering from hunger, it's not political parties that are dying, it's not political parties that terrorists are killing, they are Nigerians."

Despite the APC's efforts to consolidate power, Dalung is confident that the party will not win the 2027 elections. "Tinubu can have the 36 state governors decamping with Wike finally decamping from PDP to APC, Tinubu can appoint Sheyi as the Chairman of INEC, he can appoint Senator Remi Tinubu as the Chief Justice of Nigeria, he will not win 2027," he said.

The people have spoken, and the writing is on the wall. The APC's time is up, and Nigerians are ready for a change. The current administration's handling of insecurity, hunger, and economic hardship has left Nigerians with no choice but to demand a better future. 2027 will be a historic year, and the outcome will be determined by the people's resolve to shape their own destiny and the answer will be loudly delivered at the polls.

John Onaiyekan, a cardinal and former Catholic archbishop of Abuja, says President Bola Tinubu’s re-election prospects in a free and fair election would be jeopardised if he continues with his current policies.
