Plateau United Gets New Sporting Director


Plateau United Football Club is set to unveil Gideon Izang as its new sporting director, marking another key step in the club’s ongoing restructuring process. The announcement comes shortly after the appointment of Shola Adegun as the new head coach.

Gideon Izang is a highly respected sports and entertainment lawyer with vast experience in football administration. He is also a notary public for Nigeria and a member of the Agents Chamber of the FIFA Football Tribunal.

His appointment was reportedly influenced by the support of Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, who is committed to repositioning the club for better performance in both domestic and continental competitions.

Sources close to the club confirmed that an agreement has already been reached with Izang, and preparations are underway for his official unveiling. Fans and stakeholders are hopeful that his arrival will bring positive change to the team.

The management of Plateau United believes Izang’s international experience will help build a solid structure within the club, especially in areas of talent management, player transfers, and legal compliance.
