PLATEAU SPEAKER DEWAN JOINS ARRAY OF DIGNITARIES TO HONOUR BENUE ASSEMBLY'S 2-YEAR THANKSGIVING MASS WITH RT. HON. HYACINTH DAJOH



Rt. Hon. Dewan Kudangbena Gabriel, Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, joins other top dignitaries in celebrating two years in office of his fellow Speaker of Benue State, Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aodona Dajoh.
Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aodona Dajoh, Speaker of the Benue State Assembly, marked his second anniversary in office with a Thanksgiving Mass and prayers. Notable dignitaries attended, including the former Governor of Benue State, former Speakers, and current Speakers from other states, such as Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin (Oyo State) and Rt. Hon. Guwor Emomotimi (Delta State). The highlight of the celebration was the launch of a book chronicling the history of the Benue State Assembly since Nigeria's democracy began.
In a special tribute, Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aodona Dajoh expressed gratitude to Rt. Hon. Dewan for his unwavering support and partnership throughout his tenure. "I don't take this shared relationship for granted," he said, underscoring the value of their collaboration.

About 20 Soldiers Killed In Deadly Bandit Attack On Military Camp In Niger State

In a tragic escalation of violence in Nigeria’s North-Central region, about 20 soldiers were reportedly killed in the early hours of Tuesday during a fierce attack by armed bandits on a military camp near Bangi, in Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State. The deadly ambush, which occurred around dawn on June 24, 2025, saw the heavily armed assailants overrun the camp after a sustained gun battle.
