SENATOR VICTOR LAR IS A POLITICAL COLOSSUS AND A WORTHY ADDITION TO THE APC FAMILY- PLATEAU APC CHAIRMAN

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State, Hon. Rufus Bature, has described Sen. Victor Lar as a political colossus whose return to the APC would undoubtedly add value to the fortunes of the party in Plateau State and Nigeria at large.

Sen. Lar who was at the state party headquarters at Kalwa House, Jos to announce his triumphant return to the party he served diligently as Zonal Campaign coordinator for Lalong's re-election in 2019 and the Director General of Nora Daduut Senatorial Campaign Council in the 2021 by-election that were both clinched by the APC in the Southern Senatorial District of Plateau State with a landslide, was resoundingly received by the state working committee of the party as a worthy returnee.

While acknowledging Senator Lar's political sagacity and grassroots mobilization prowess, Hon. Bature observed that the benefits of his return to the APC is already manifesting in the robust political engagements that restored vibrancy to the APC in Plateau South, has equally lured personalities of high calibre back into its fold.

The party Chairman assured that Senator Lar would be accorded all rights, privileges and responsibilities befitting of all party members without recourse to his brief sojourn in the Labour Party for the 2023 elections, while pledging the party leadership's full support for him to contribute to its growth in every manner possible.

Earlier highlighting on the purpose of his visit to the State Party Secretariat, Senator Lar said he came to formally notify the state working committee of his return to the party following his formal reception into the fold by the Party  EXCO of his Pajat Ward of Langtang North on 1st February, 2025.

He said his departure from the APC in the build up to the 2023 elections was necessitated by the joined Muslim presidential ticket of the party, which was considered a frightening  combination for most  Christians of Northern extraction.

Two years into the renewed Hope administration of President Tinubu, Senator Lar said Christians in the North have been carried along and more fairly treated than they were in the previous administration of the mixed Muslim/Christian ticket of the Buhari administration.

Lar said the bold economic policies unveiled by the Tinubu administration, despite their immediate consequences on the wellbeing of the citizenry, were  necessary antidote to revert the nation to the part of prosperity.

He said his priority is to ensure that Tinubu did not only win Plateau in 2027, but that he wins with a very wide margin. He told the party leadership that he was readily available to undertake any assignment and responsibilities that may be bestowed on him to help the party improve it's standing in the state and Nigeria at large.
