COMMUNIQUÉ ON RESOLUTIONS OF PLATEAU PUBLISHERS ASSOCIATION, PPA DURING ITS 4TH GENERAL CONGRESS MEETING



The Plateau Publishers Association PPA, after its 4th General Congress meeting held on 9th May 2025, at its temporary office, NICON Insurance Building, Jos, approved the composition of an Electoral Committee (ELCOM) to prepare and conduct an election of the association within Six  (6) weeks, and not later than 23rd June 2025, being expiration of the 6 months given to the present Executive Committee (EXCO) headed by Prince Daniel John Bok.

THE ELECTORAL COMMITTEE:

The Election Committee is made up of 2 Board of Trustee, (BoT) members and 1 other member of the association's Congress, they are:

1. Chief Nash Hosea Vongdip. (Deputy Chairman BOT) he is to serve as Chairman ELCOM.

2. Lady Juliana Uzoka (Secretary BOT) she is to serve as Secretary ELCOM.

3. Deaconess Florence Emi. (member PPA) she is to serve as member ELCOM.

*TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE ELECTORAL COMMITTEE

1. The ELCOM is mandated to conduct elections within 6 weeks starting from 9th May - 23rd June 2025.

2.ELCOM is mandated to come up with a register or list of all current PPA members who are validly registered to vote or be voted for and have attended not less than 3 PPA congress meetings in 2025.

3. ELCOM is mandated to print and sell forms to all eligible members.

4. ELCOM is mandated to draw up an election time table within the time frame authorised by PPA congress 9th May - 23rd June 2025.

5. ELCOM is to ensure that PPA 2025 election is widely publicized by its members and the mass media.

6. ELCOM is hereby allowed to use all avenues of generating funds for the conduct of the elections.

7. ELCOM is mandated to come up with any other recommendation to PPA EXCO that will ensure the conduct of a free, fair, credible and transparent elections.

Onjefu Odaudu,Jos  A former Member who represented Jos South/Jos East federal constituency in the 9th assembly in the house of representatives Honourable Dachung Musa Bagos has clarified that his passion for the younger generation is to mould them for a productive future. About 20 Soldiers Killed In Deadly Bandit Attack On Military Camp In Niger State

In a tragic escalation of violence in Nigeria’s North-Central region, about 20 soldiers were reportedly killed in the early hours of Tuesday during a fierce attack by armed bandits on a military camp near Bangi, in Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State. The deadly ambush, which occurred around dawn on June 24, 2025, saw the heavily armed assailants overrun the camp after a sustained gun battle.
