310 PROJECTS WILL BE EXECUTED BY PLATEAU SUBEB/UBEC CIVIL ENGINEERING WORKS- Bldr Amuna By Onjefu Odaudu, Jos.

The Chairman of the Plateau State Universal Education Board Bldr Sunday Samuel Amuna has disclosed that the board has about 122 construction,161 renovation,two school perimeter fencing and about 20 water sanitation projects lined up for the 1st to 4th quarter of 2023/2024 fiscal year this brings to the total about 310 engineering works.

He stated this during the opening of bids for the projects at the board's office in Jos Nigeria on Wednesday 7 May 2025 where the bid box was inspected and opened at a well attended ceremony by SUBEB  officials and the prospective contractors.

Hon Amuna appreciated the governor of Plateau State His Excellency Barrister Caleb Mannaseh Muttwang for the release of the marching ground funds totalling about 4 billion nine hundred million naira for the projects and assured that the funds  would be judiciously used.

Present at the occasion were the representatives of the ICPC,The Plateau State Commissioner of Justice who was representated,the Executive Secretary of the Universal Education Board ((UBEC) Dr Aisha Garba who was representated by Mrs Maryam Gizo who stood in for the state coordinator Esther Tella among others.

Earlier the Director of Physical and Engineering Services Gabriel Ayuba charged the contractors to deliver quality jobs according to specifications and that anything otherwise would be sanctioned.

Speaking on behalf of the Association of Indigenous contractors in Plateau State the Chairman Honourable Daniel Sule assured that his members were satisfied with the fair and transparent process while noting that each successful contractor would deliver their job within the specified bill of quantity and set standards.
